Calling all #PSL lovers! This recipe combines the beloved flavors of pumpkin spice and chai with the refreshing kick of cold brew coffee. It's a delightful twist on the classic Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew that adds a warm and aromatic element to your cold coffee experience!

Ingredients:

For the Cold Brew:

  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans (like perk up!)
  • 4 cups cold water

For the Pumpkin Spice Chai Foam:

  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 chai tea bag
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice mix (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Cold Brew:

  1. Combine the coarsely ground coffee beans and cold water in a pitcher or large jar.
  2. Stir gently to ensure all the coffee grounds are wet.
  3. Cover the pitcher or jar and let it steep in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours.
  4. After steeping, strain the cold brew through a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter into a separate container. This will be your base cold brew.

Pumpkin Spice Chai Foam:

  1. Heat the milk in a small saucepan until it's warm but not boiling.
  2. Add the chai tea bag to the warm milk and let it steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bag and let the milk cool down.
  4. In a bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin spice mix, and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually whisk in the cooled chai-infused milk until the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.

Assembly:

  1. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  2. Pour the prepared cold brew over the ice, leaving some space at the top.
  3. Carefully spoon or pour the Pumpkin Spice Chai Foam over the cold brew.
  4. Give it a gentle stir to incorporate the foam into the cold brew.
  5. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of extra pumpkin spice mix on top for garnish.
  6. Insert a reusable or paper straw and enjoy your unique Pumpkin Spice Chai Cold Brew creation!
